Pitchside has no accounts, no sign-in, and no profile. Nothing you do in the app is tied to your identity, because the app never learns it.
What stays on your device
The teams and competitions you follow, your notification choices, your display preferences, and a cached copy of fixtures and results are stored on your phone only. They are not sent anywhere, and uninstalling the app deletes them.
What the servers see
The app requests fixture data from api.pitchside.ca. Those requests
carry no identifier — no account, no device id, no advertising id. Cloudflare, which
serves the API, processes IP addresses transiently as part of routing and abuse
prevention, as any web request requires.
Notifications
Notifications use Firebase Cloud Messaging topics. Your device subscribes to a topic such as "this team" and receives anything published to it. The servers send to the topic, not to you: there is no list of who is subscribed, and we could not send you a personal message if we wanted to.
Crash reports
If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends a diagnostic report so the fault can be fixed. It contains the stack trace, the device model, the OS version and the app build — not your name, your location, or what you were looking at.
Analytics is deliberately not included. Pitchside does not measure what you tap.

Where the data comes from
Fixtures, results and tables are read from the publicly available pages of bccsl.ca. Pitchside is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any league or governing body.
Children
The app is about youth soccer, and is written for the parents, players and coaches who follow it. It collects nothing from anyone, of any age.
